Why Beauty Experts Recommend Hair Combing As Part of Your Morning Routine

TLDR: A lot of people don't know that one of the best things about combing your hair is the chance that it gives you to create a morning routine and a night routine.

Why Hair Combing is a Perfect Way to Perfect Your Morning and Evening Routines

Experts recommend that hair combing shouldn't just be a boring chore. Instead, hair combing is the perfect time to create an incredible morning routine that will help you start your day off right and an incredible evening routine that will help you end your day on a positive note.

Because Hair combing happens twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, it's a great time to anchor yourself, and set yourself a positive routine that will uplift your day. In this way, the act of combing itself becomes a bookend for your day- starting you off right and then helping you unwind at the end.

Here are some suggestions for creating an amazing morning routine and an incredible evening routine.

Morning Routine

In the morning, use your time to set positive intentions for the day. Think about 3 goals that you want to set for the day. With each stroke, affirm to yourself that you are going to accomplish those goals for the day. Imagine and visualize yourself accomplishing those goals and how good it is going to feel at the end of the day when those goals are complete.

Evening Routine

In the evening, after you've settled down for the day, pour yourself a cup of tea and draw a warm bath. Now, while your bath is filling, begin to comb your hair. With each stroke, imagine all of the stress of the day falling away. Literally, each stroke is removing toxins from your hair, so imagine that all of the day's intensity, hardship, and challenges are also melting away.
